For day trips you can choose between numerous Dalmatian islands (Brac - 1 h 30 min; Hvar - 3 h), Krka National Park (1 h drive), Plitvice Lakes National Park (2 h 30 min), Makarska Riviera with beautiful beaches and Biokovo Nature Park (1 h driving). Whether you are willing to swim in the sea or in the river, you can, the nearest beaches are half an hour away. Also, nearby are UNESCO-protected sites such as Split (30 min), Trogir (40 min), Dubrovnik (2 h), the island of Hvar, etc. While in neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina, the city of Mostar is nearby (1h 30 min) and Medjugorje (1h 20 min).
