A delightful rural vista of olive groves, fields and woodland greets you on arrival at Nona Marija, on the edge of Radići, a hamlet close to Sveti Lovrec and less than 30 minutes from the stunning Adriatic coastline. This idyllic countryside setting makes for a wonderfully relaxing spot for a holiday!
The charming local owners have given a lot of thought to the layout and design of Nona Marija to ensure it is welcoming and comfortable, from air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room, three bathrooms for three bedrooms, to neatly defined outdoor areas. There is plenty of space outdoors for everyone, whether it is to enjoy breakfast on the terrace, fire up the barbecue for dinner, or spend time by or in the pool. A large expanse of garden leads into an olive grove and vegetable garden.
Here, the pace of daily life is gentle but a short drive along country lanes brings you to Sveti Lovreč (3.5km), home to amenities which include a minimarket and a couple of cafés, whilst a local 'konoba' (restaurant) is just 2km away in the hamlet of Vošteni.
A 30 minute drive brings you to coastal Poreč, which offers a wider choice of amenities including a superb choice of restaurants, many of which line the quayside and offer the perfect vantage point from which to absorb the comings and goings of fishing boats and pleasure craft. Ferries run regularly from Poreč across the Adriatic to Venice for a fascinating day out (early start required!).
