Positive: We had one of the top floor apartments which was absolutely beautiful- spacious, clean, modern with stunning views of the bay. It’s probably the loveliest location on the island. The downside of the location is that it’s quite isolated without a vehicle and there were no rental bikes available. The local bus only runs a few times a day and the nearest supermarket is about 50 minutes walk away so bring supplies with you. Being early in the season didn’t help as the hire boats were not operating and a local taxi tour for just 2 people was too expensive. There are hire cars available but the cost for an automatic car was also very expensive. Although we were picked up from the ferry we had to organise a taxi to catch our 6am ferry to Dubrovnik on departure. I’d recommend the local taxi driver Ante who turned up as arranged and on time which was a relief. Overall however we enjoyed our stay on the beautiful island Lastovo and were very happy with this beautiful apartment.

Negative: We were a bit disappointed that there was no tea, coffee, sugar or salt especially as there’s nowhere nearby to purchase these items.

Summary: Beautiful apartment with stunning views but isolated due to limited transportation options
