This wonderful vacation home with pool grants privacy, as it is secluded and has a beautiful view of the sea, the forest and the rural surroundings. Stylishly furnished interiors in the house and on the spacious plot extending to the coast, there is a pool and garden furniture. Living room with kitchen and dining area and an additional toilet are on the first floor, three bedrooms with bathrooms upstairs. The nearest swimming opportunity is a rocky beach, which can be reached via a forest path in about 100 meters. The nearest pebble beaches are about five minutes away by car. In the nearby resort you can use tennis courts, mini golf and other sports facilities for a fee. Dubrovnik 8 km.

Summary: WOW. This place is fantastic! I really cannot say enough good things about this house. We travel a lot, always in self-catering houses, and this is hands down the very nicest place we’ve ever stayed. We were there for a week in early October. It is a beautiful house, inside and out. This house is brand new, built of Brac stone in 2018. It has all new appliances and every modern convenience. It is very, very spacious and light-filled. The views are incredible – the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. The furnishings are sleek, stylish and so comfortable. The wifi was fast and rock solid, with great range to the pool deck. The mattresses are extra firm, excellent for bad backs. We slept like logs. The showers have two heads, great pressure and a lot of hot water. Every room is air conditioned. The kitchen is very well equipped, including a range fan that vents to the outside (not common in Croatia). And there is a shiny new gas grill outside. The outside will win your heart. The house has an idyllic setting in the midst of working olive orchards, fields and vineyards, yet is just short walk down into Zaton Veliki, with restaurants and small grocery. The pool is gorgeous blue mosaic-lined and the view from the house down to the water is fantastic. One can sit and gaze down at the water for hours, watching the light change and boats plying their way to and from the islands. Mr. Violic is a terrific, attentive host, with fluent English. He even took the time to take us to a local hike that we never would have found on our own, but that gave us some of the best views we had during our month in Croatia. Zaton itself is a great location. It has groceries, hikes, restaurants, beaches and was quite low key. Dubrovnik is a short car (or bus) ride away. You can’t find a better home base for visiting the Dubrovnik area than this house.
