It is located near the famous national parks of Paklenica, Velebit, the river Krka, Kornati and Plitvice Lakes. Posedarje has many restaurants, coffee bars, shops, bakery, fish market, butcher, post office and a park for children. The village has a sandy, gravel and concrete beach.

The historical harbour town of Zadar about 25 km away is definitely worth a day trip.
