Novigrad is located on the Western coast of Istria, two kilometres north from the mouth of the river Mirna and about 20 km south from the borders with Slovenia and Italy. Not only does the town boast rich cultural heritage and preserved natural beauty, but it is also an architectural jewel filled with astonishing historical sites. One example of the rich history of Novigrad are the famous city walls that have embraced and protected the town for centuries.
