The double bed big sized mattress is of the highest quality so that our guests can rest in total relax. 4 sleeping rooms and 3 bathroom; the equipped kitchen give the pleasure of cooking even on holiday. The large covered terrace invites to spend the summer evenings enjoy life.
Gorgonia Apartments is a family leaded vacation rental, near to the sea on the undiscovered and beutiful island Dugi otok in Croatia. In our restaurant at the sea border, you can enjoj our specialities based on fresh island products. The market behind the house offers fruits, vegetables and more. Market and Grill are open from 15 May till 15 October.
We organize excursions to marine National Park Kornati and fishing excursions.
We rent boats, bikes, kayaks and Sup.
We suggest to come by car or to hire one in Zadar, because there is just one bus which drives from the ferry harbour Brbinj to Verunic and one taxi which is very expensive since it is located in Sali and has to be reserved some day in advance ; no other public connection to the south of the island. If you come by bus get off in Verunic and walk into the village, down the hill. At the sea border turn to the right: we are the last house at the sea.
You can swimm front from the pier in front, but there is no beach. To reach Sakarun beach it takes 2 minutes by car or 25 walking. The lighthouse is reachable in 8 minutes by car, 30 minutes biking or 90 minutes walking.
There is one cash mashine in Dugi otok, 40 Km far away, but in the post office in Veli Rat, close to our village, you can get money from 8 till 10 in the morning (in the weekends it is closed).
The only gasoline station is in Zaglav, reachable in 30 minutes drive, the closest doctor in 10 minutes drive.

We are living on the ground floor and in the evening we work at the Grill at the sea border. So you can contact us for any need or information.
When we are free we like to begin the day by having a refreshing swimm in front oft he house, then a coffee and a hot croissant at the bar. Then we enjoy to kayak till the northern top oft he bay and to have pic nic at the sea under pine tree. After a short break in the apartment in the afternoon we enjoy a walk in Bozava eating an icecream and in the evening we relax at the sea border in Verunic playing cards on the balcony.
The ferry leaves from the Gazenica harbour in Zadar and drives till Brbinj (Dugi otok) 3-4 times in the day, depending on the season. On the site Jadrolinjia there you can find the departing time. Once in Brbinj if you have the car you reanch Verunic in 20 minutes, by bas you need 40. If you have the chance hire a car or a scooter in Zadar.
Dugy otok in summer is the ideal place for swimming holidays: there is even a diving school in the neighbourhood. But out of season, when there are less people it is more fascinating. In spring it is nice for bikin and walking between the flavoured flower paths, in autumn you can help berring olives and to follow the ancient and traditional oil production process.
